Have You Seen the Nonsense?
I went to youtube yesterday to view what it was really like in Haiti, and I started reading the comments left by viewers. OMG! If you don’t think racism still exists in this world, let alone the US, just take a look at the thousands of comments calling the people of Haiti the n-word, monkeys, slaves, voodoo worshipers, wow! Racism today looks just like it did hundreds of years ago. The sting and power of those words still resonate just as strongly.
So what does that mean for us, raising two black males in America? What does that mean for you? How does racism shape how you parent?
