Cranberry Berry Goblet


This morning’s shake consisted of cranberries, strawberries, pineapple, spinach, orange juice and vanilla whey protein powder. I have no idea how much of each ingredient. I just drop in frozen pieces of fruit until I think, that looks about right and then I press “blend.” I’m hoping to try Almond milk in place of orange juice this week, although it still sounds a little too granola for me.

Cherrapine Shake


Santa came early this year and brought me a Ninja. I was having an extremely difficult time with my old blender and was pleasantly surprised to come home to a brand new blender just for my protein shakes. Yesterday, I made a Cherrapine shake, which stands for Cherry-Raspberry-Pineapple shortened and blended together, just like my shake. It contained cherries, raspberries, pineapple, spinach, a splash of orange juice, vanilla whey protein powder and of course, strawberries….

Vanilla Berry Smoothie


I’m on a healthy eating kick that started 24 hours ago. My girlfriend, Morgan, gave me a beginner’s protein shake recipe, so this morning for breakfast I blended frozen strawberries and blueberries, one tightly packed cup of baby spinach, a splash of apple juice and a scoop of vanilla whey protein powder. The result was very healthy tasting. I’m glad I added strawberries and may even add a drop of lemon next time to brighten…
