We made cake pops, and it wasn’t easy. This is a photo of the second batch. The concept sounds pretty easy, but I mixed in way too much icing, so the dough was gooey and would not stay on the stick. Regardless, I keep going and tried fearlessly to keep candy coating on the pops, but the mushy dough keep falling apart. For the second go-around I did some more research and learned a trick to keep the pop on the stick. I froze the dough, stuck them with candy coated sticks to set the pops in place, dipped them using a deep bowl for easy coverage, and voila!
