The Lion has been the sweetest big brother my Caterpillar could ask for. He is so sweet and tender with her. Even when he was much younger, he was fascinated by babies. If we were in a store and a baby was crying, he could not focus until the baby was soothed, and he’s the same way with his sister. When she starts to fuss, he’ll tell me, “I think she wants some milk,” or, “I think she wants to go back in your belly.” His concern is so heart warming.
The Lion gives her hugs and kisses everyday. He asks to hold her, which only lasts a few seconds, but he gives her all his attention during those few moments. When he comes home from school he asks, “Where’s the baby?!” I know he’s going to have her interests at the top of his mind, and it’s the most precious thing to observe. Growing up as only children, Hubby and I did not have sibling relationships, so watching our three children interact and grow up together is a blessing.
